Started entrepreneurial, San Francisco based, strategic real estate planning and full service development management company.
Full time consulting with the development arm for https://juno.co, an integrated development firm that specializes in delivering innovative, and sustainable housing with world-class design using a mass timber building system in metropolitan areas.
Development Lead for Station Avenue, a transit oriented development of a 32 acre mixed-use development in Sonoma County that incorporates 460 residential units, 130,00 sf retail, 120,000 sf office and a 156 key hotel.
Working as an owner’s representative for an offshore fund, provided pre-development and entitlements for two Type II multifamily projects in Oakland, California. The first podium project included 270 market rate units plus 90 affordable units in two separate towers. The second tower planned 451 units. Scope included project underwriting, market analysis, project positioning, CEQA and Subdivision compliance, construction pricing, team selection, scheduling, and G&A development.

TISHMAN SPEYER CHINA
Project General Manager, The Springs, Shanghai
Retained to direct strategic master planning and development of 66 acre, 9 million sq. ft. mixed-use, sustainable community in Yangpu District of Shanghai, The Springs. The project is comprised of 900+ apartments, an office park, an office tower, a hotel tower and 1.6 million sq. ft. retail and is serviced by two new subway lines. Led finance, marketing, design and construction strategy. Forged and managed government relationships.
Hired and oversaw architectural, marketing, sales, and engineering firms; initiated transaction for Nike corporate headquarters build-to-suit.
Led detailed master planning; conducted in-depth market analysis; crafted multiple development scenarios.
Integrated financial models with investor needs, market conditions and quantity survey.
EMAAR PROPERTIES - Dubai
Managing Director/ Country Head
Led a two-city operation employing a staff of 200. Led the development of Crescent Bay, Karachi. Crescent Bay is a mixed-use project on 110 acres of reclaimed land, hosting 45 office and residential towers, a school, retail mall, hotel and luxury service apartments. An additional project is Canyon Views, Islamabad, a 5,000-unit mixed-use housing development.
General Manager/ Country Head
As General Manager, Emaar Jordan, served as a board member of the Dead Sea Company as the primary interface with majority partner, The King Abdullah Fund; reporting to King Abdullah’s Royal Court and King Abdullah’s chief of staff. Led the setup and running of Emaar's Jordan office, initiating, and developing Emaar’s first project in the Kingdom at the Dead Sea. Samarah - Dead Sea Resort and Spa is a 400-acre project directly on the Dead Sea and includes two hotels, 1,000 homes, 17,000 square meters retail. Responsibilities included developing the initial master plan, building the staff, all legal issues development, design, construction and financial management of the company.

Directed development activities across four countries: Jordan, Pakistan, Dubai and Turkey.
Established Emaar’s Istanbul office: developed master plan, hired staff of 30, including legal, HR, marketing, sales and leasing, finance, and development.
GENSLER
Vice-President/ San Francisco and Tokyo
Joined Gensler to establish Gensler Program Management and Client Services. The group grew to five different cities. Over ten years the group became established as a leader for bank mergers; development management and corporate facility outsource programs.
Led multiple site development programs for AMC Theatres, Johnny Rockets, Noah’s NY Bagels, Jamba Juice, CSAA.
Led the development of capital projects for corporate facilities nationwide.
Delivered over 200 sites for GMAC restructure in North America.
Led a corporate facility outsource program for the corporate campus and national facilities at McDonald’s Corporation in Oakbrook, IL.
Opened Gensler’s office in Tokyo, Japan.
Led the hiring of all Tokyo staff and developed practice areas including design, retail, entertainment and corporate workplace. Clients include GAP (multiple locations), AMC Theatres (multiple locations), corporate facilities and design for Zurich Group, Citibank, State Street Bank. Program management for Prada Japan (multiple sites) and Capital Tower for CapitaLand Singapore.
PacTel Properties/Cushman and Wakefield , San Francisco
PacTel Properties, Director of Development
PacTel Properties was one of the efforts of the Baby Bells to enter into real estate investment. The company required its directors to become “owners” of its projects. As a director at PacTel Properties, acquired the property, arranged internal funding, third party financing, and managed the development, leasing and disposition of projects. Projects include Norris Tech Center (30 acre campus/ 260,000 SF, San Ramon), Northport Business Park (36 acres 300,000 SF, Fremont), Signature Center (54.4 Acres and 340,000 SF, Pleasanton), 731 Sansome (38,000SF, San Francisco) and 160 Pine (100,000 SF, San Francisco).
Negotiated and developed a build-to-suit for AT&T Network Systems. Responsibilities include lease negotiation acquisition of entitlements, led design and construction team. Delivered the project on time and under budget.
Led the PacTel predevelopment team for three shopping centers totaling over 500,000 SF.
Leased over 600,000 SF in San Francisco, Pleasanton, San Ramon, and Fremont projects. Tenant mix includes retail, office, and manufacturing.
Cushman and Wakefield, Development Manager
The entire PacTel Properties portfolio described above was outsourced to C&W. Our task was to workout and/ or dispose of all the properties PacTel had developed or acquired. The team’s task was to renegotiate third party financing and assist the parent, Pacific Telesis, exit the real estate business.
Led the asset management for all East Bay real estate, totaling approximately 700,000 SF and 30 developable acres.
Disposed of over $100 million of properties.
Closed over 350,000 SF of lease transactions.
Developed industrial and business parks and retail sites for PacTel.
